Welcome!
The Shudokan School of Aikido is a school dedicated to training in traditional Japanese budo (the martial way). We believe that the essence of Aikido is the forging of mind and body through training in the traditional martial techniques, refined and handed down to us by the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba. This special training makes Aikido more than just a martial art. It makes our practice and training in Aikido a vehicle by which we can develop our character along with that of our training partners. It is our hope that the discipline of training in Aikido, as a budo, will eventually result in a "flowing and flexible mind that is able to react to anything it confronts, instinctively, fearlessly, and without hesitation, regardless of the situation". Please accept our invitation to come and join us in the practice of this beautiful and amazing martial art. We hope that you will also come to experience the many benefits that it offers. Feel free to contact us if we can answer any questions or help you in any way. We are here to serve.
We are located at The Clay Road Family YMCA, 10655 Clay Road in Houston, Texas. Everyone interested is invited to come and practice with us. Sign up is at the front desk.
We also now have a second location at the Shindokan Dojo, 2217 Highway 6 South in west Houston/Katy,Tx. For more information call 281-630-0361 or email Sensei@shudokanaikido.com
